Spine-Wrap

Intended for one-offs & small quantities, when presentation really matters!

Spine-Wrap 'special' designed as a wedding favour with elasticated securing strap
Catalogue of artworks for an exhibition

A premium binding style for booklets, brochures, student dissertations, etc.

Spine-Wrap is our own creation; it’s a budget-conscious alternative to ‘perfect binding’.

We first came up with the idea for Bournemouth University student projects and dissertations; they were asking for ‘perfect binding’ which can be expensive; bearing in mind most students’ financial constraints we came up with this much cheaper option. But still with a high-end professional look. Word went round and Spine-Wrap very quickly became really popular!

We use digitally printed single sheets up to A3 (420mm by 297mm) page size. Paper and boards selected to suit an individual customer’s requirements. Covers can be laminated to give a really professional finish. We add a spine of around 8mm to artwork, which is where we pin. Larger books are gauzed and glued too; a spine board overlay is then wrapped to cover.

One of our first commercial jobs was for our client Jacqueline at POSH Original Art; she ordered some catalogues for an exhibition; the quality and small minimum quantity suited her perfectly. More recently we created a bespoke notebook with elasticated securing strap as a wedding favour.
